What is an e-book?

E-book is short for electronic book. An e-book (E-book, Ebook, eBook) is an electronic (or digital) version of a printed book that can be read using a computer or an e-book reader. E-books are available in a number of formats. Adobe PDF format, however, appears to be the most popular. Our e-books use the Adobe PDF format.

Do I need special software?

Adobe PDF requires Acrobat Reader software but Acrobat Reader comes on most new computers. If not, it can be downloaded for free from Adobe. A definite advantage to Adobe PDF is that it is easily printed out by those who prefer reading the printed page.

What is the advantage of an e-book?

Obviously, the big advantage of an e-book is that you can download and read it now. You can also print out individual pages for reference or you can print out the entire book (although that would use quite a bit of your printer’s paper and ink). Saving the e-book to your computer allows you to read the book as often as you like.
